Based in Negombo, Central Nurseing Home was founded in YEAR 1998 by DR KANDIAH JEYALINGAM. It is a Private health care provider with in and out Patient Facility and equipped with a modern Medical Lab.
HISTORY
Central Nursing Home was started in august 1979. [ Poly Clinic ] by the late Dr. Somasundaram Balasundaram to provide medical services for the people of Negombo with 16 staff members including 2 doctors and 10 nurses.The nursing home provided day & night services and was equipped with OPD and labour wards. In 1998, Dr. Kandiah Jeyalingam took over the ownership of the establishment from Dr. S. Balasundaram, and upgraded the services provided. The nursing home was then capable of providing OPD, ward, labour, lab and channelling services. A pharmacy was also established to provide the medicines prescribed.
The staff number grew to 27, including 15 nurses, 2 pharmacists and 2 MLTs. In 2007 the management of the nursing home was handed over to Dr.Jeyalingam Sajitharan and he was appointed as the new Managing Director.
The nursing home was then further upgraded to the current status. The services currently provided are OPD, Ward, Lab, Pharmacy, Channelling, Eye unit, Scan and E.C.G. In addition to these, a Labour room and an Operating theater will be added very soon. The nursing home is registered as an individual business under the Reg. No.W.V.1717.
